First Base

Some porous floors need a proper base before the finishing coats go anywhere near them. Agar First Base is made for exactly that job.

This water-based acrylic sealer penetrates and fills porosity in surfaces such as concrete, terrazzo and suitable timber, leaving a smoother base for subsequent floor finishes. On concrete, it also helps control surface dusting and prevents dirt and spillages from working their way into the floor as easily.

First Base can be used on vinyl, timber, terrazzo, porous stone and concrete. Because it is water-based, it is non-flammable and avoids the strong solvent odour associated with some traditional sealers.
