Descaler

Wet scrub cleaner that removes calcium, lime and rust after a dwell time.

No Harsh fumes.
Can be discharged down the drain.
Alkaline solutions, but with a low VOC and high boiling point makes it safer than most products in the market.
Replacement for where strong acids are normally required.

The Descaler is made for the mineral build-up that regular surface cleaners often leave behind. It works on calcium, lime and rust deposits, using a wet-scrub process and some dwell time to give the solution a chance to loosen stubborn build-up before you get to work on it.

What’s a little different here is the chemistry. Rather than relying on the strong acids commonly used for descaling jobs, this is an alkaline solution with low VOC levels and a high boiling point. In day-to-day cleaning, that means you can tackle difficult scale and deposits without the harsh fumes you might normally expect from a heavy-duty descaler.

Give it time on the surface before scrubbing, particularly where deposits have been building up for a while. You might find older calcium or lime marks need a bit more working than fresh residue, which is normal with this sort of job. Once cleaning is finished, the solution can also be discharged down the drain.

For cleaners dealing with scale on a regular basis, having the right chemical can save a fair bit of unnecessary scrubbing. At About Clean, we can also help you match the descaler with suitable brushes, pads and other commercial cleaning supplies, so you’re not trying to do a tough mineral-removal job with the wrong setup.
